1. Who We Are

BioCheck (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a link-monitoring service for content creators. Our platform checks whether your bio links are healthy, fast, and reachable — so you never lose revenue to a broken redirect.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Email address and password (on signup)
  • Bio link URLs you submit for scanning or monitoring
  • Payment information processed securely by our payment provider
  • Alert and notification preferences

We also collect information automatically when you use the service:

  • IP address and browser/device type for rate limiting and security
  • Usage logs (pages visited, features used, scan timestamps)
  • Cookies and session tokens required for authentication

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and improve the BioCheck service
  • Monitor your bio links and send health alerts
  • Process subscription payments and manage billing
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Send transactional emails (alerts, receipts, trial reminders) — no marketing emails without your consent

4. Data Retention

Link check history is retained according to your plan: 30 days on Creator, 90 days on Pro. Free plan users have no automated history. You will receive a notification 7 days before any history records are scheduled to be deleted.

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request account deletion at any time from your account settings (Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account).

4a. Account Deletion & Data Removal

When you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which your data is preserved and monitoring is paused. You may cancel the deletion and restore your account at any time during this period by logging back in.

After the 30-day grace period, your account is permanently deleted. This includes:

  • Your email address and profile information
  • All monitored links and their configuration
  • All link check history and alert records
  • Your subscription and billing history (payment records are retained by our payment processor per their own policies)

After permanent deletion, your account row is anonymized in our database (email replaced with a placeholder) and your authentication credentials are removed. This action is irreversible.

You will receive a confirmation email when your deletion is requested and a final notification when the permanent deletion completes.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate BioCheck:

  • Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
  • Polar — payment processing (acts as Merchant of Record)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Vercel — hosting and serverless infrastructure

Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We may also disclose data when required by law.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at nimblesoftlimited@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS everywhere, bcrypt-hashed passwords (via Supabase Auth), and encrypted connections to our database. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

BioCheck is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us for immediate removal.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app banner.
